Founded primarily for the training of learners in basic construction skills, Abasizi Contractor Development Services CC is a CETA (Construction Education Training Authority) accredited training provider. Abasizi’s principal proficiency is in the training of learners on NQF level 1 and 2 civil construction curricula.

Abasizi is distinguished by their resolute commitment to enhance the skills capacity of formerly disadvantaged groups by way of their emerging contractor development, learnerships and mentorship programs.

Capacitating emerging contractors is an immense challenge currently facing the construction industry. Abasizi tackles this challenge by means of a series of tailor made courses, attending to the distinctive needs of these individuals.

Generally training is conducted on site, although Abasizi has a training facility with the capacity to host 24 learners. Learners are all formally assessed by CETA accredited Assessors. To ensure transferability and official recognition of training, learner’s results are registered by CETA on the National Learner Record Database.

We are presently engaged in the process of aligning the training material to the guidelines for the Government Extended Public Works Program for labour intensive construction and Emerging Contractor Development.

Our aspiration as a training provider is to acquire a reputation in the market for uncompromising quality. This will be evidenced by the quality and competency of our graduates. Abasizi has 12 trainers, 7 CETA accredited assessors and 2 Internal Moderators. Our internal moderation procedures are stringent and most moderations include site visits and interviewing of learners.

In addition to their CETA accreditation, Abasizi boasts accredition with the Department of Labour as a training provider for the National Skills Fund. (NSF Provider ID 1427)
